For over 40 years George Bowles was a trial lawyer and partner at Locke Lord LLP in Dallas. He now devotes his practice exclusively to Alternative Dispute Resolution. George has been Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1982 and is a Fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers, serving on the Complex Litigation and National Moot Court Competition Committees of the College, and the American College of Construction Lawyers. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates having served as President of the Dallas Chapter and on the National Board of Directors. Since 2003, George has been named by Texas Monthly magazine as a Super Lawyer and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Bet-the-Company, Construction, Business and
Intellectual Property Litigation and in listings of Texas’ Best Lawyers published in regional editions of The Wall Street Journal and in major Texas newspapers such as The Dallas Morning News and The Houston Chronicle. In 2013 George was honored as a Trial Legend by the Dallas Bar Association’s Tort and Insurance practice section. George is a Master of the Court (Emeritus) of the Patrick E. Higginbotham Inn of Court and a frequent speaker at bar association meetings. In addition to representing clients in numerous construction and business arbitrations George has served on the Large Case Panel of the American Arbitration Association since 1996, having acted as arbitrator in scores of construction and commercial arbitrations.
